11/02 - 4 3rd Quarter State Convention - Rock Hill
Join us in Rock Hill for the 3rd Quarter State Convention and SCOYA (South Carolina Outstanding Young Americans). The chapter will pay for one men’s and one women’s room. December 11th – Spartanburg Christmas Parade
The Spartanburg Jaycees, Denny’s Corp, and the City of Spartanburg have established a $3,000.00 Scholarship fund for Seniors marching in the Christmas Parade. Annie Lawrence (judges@spartanburgjaycees.org) is coordinating the judges. If you know of any other potential sources of funding, please contact Chris Smith at President@spartanburgjaycees.org. KYN (Know Your Neighbor) Opportunities
10/20 Charleston Harbor Cruise – If anyone from any of the SC Jaycees chapters would like to attend, The Charleston Jaycees are offering a Jaycees ticket discount! All Jaycees will pay $35 instead of $40. The boat leave at 7:30, so they are asking everyone to be there at 7:00. There will have free food, drinks, beer, wine, and music. A costume contest and some other fun games and prizes as well. They are doing a raffle and will be selling the very popular jello shot as well. This year the proceeds of the event will be going to Darkness To light, a local organization that fights child abuse. See attached pdf file for more details.
Cayce-West Columbia Jaycees: Need some help filling spaces on their Hall of Horrors work nights in October, (Dates are 12,13,19,20,26,27,28,30 & 31) anybody willing to come out and work ANY night at their Hall of Horrors should contact Laura Williams at lwilliams@adamseaddy.com. General responsibilities include: taking tickets, parking, crowd control stuff like that. Volunteers would be expected to be there by 7 PM. They are no asking for actor roles… unless you really want too!
ALSO, we need a little help with our Fair booth. We need some help on the weekends, the weeknights are full. We need help on Oct. 13,19 & 20.
